Asparagus Community Theatre (ACT) was formed in 1981 by a motley crew of aspiring thespians in the quaint town of Armstrong, British Columbia.
Our objective is to increase the public’s understanding and appreciation of the arts in Armstrong by providing performances, workshops and other theatrical events. Winners of many municipal, regional and provincial awards, we have a reputation for engaging youth, showcasing local talent and building an asset base of technical expertise. We are active members of ArmstrongSpallumcheen’s Chamber of Commerce and Arts Council Society, offer two bursaries annually to performing arts minded students graduating from PVSS and are supporters of many local causes. Through the financial support and patronage of Armstrong and the North Okanagan, we are able to remain successful and financially solvent.
Our organization and all of our productions are put together by upstanding volunteer members of the community, many of whom have been involved with ACT throughout the years.
We at ACT welcome all members of our community to get involved with local, community theatre!
